Two huge magpies, Western Yellow Billed Magpies, Pica Nutali, were busy at our bird feeder the past few mornings. Karen and I put some dogfood in the feeder for this magpie family.
A few birds that frequent our environs are larger (e.g., geese, egrets, turkey vultures, owls), but few are as large or more colorful and come as close to us as the Pica Nutali.
In the past few days we have planted five fig trees and one shrub, mowed, weeded, and watered some of our plants.
I have been ready lots about Neo-Pagan Druid practices lately.
