Ahh ... we sense that Spring just might be getting closer. There are signs all around us. The rains are decreasing and the soil is starting to dry out. Green leaf buds are popping out on the naked wood of the shrubs and the trees. The bees are begining to busy themselves around the blossoming peaches, nectarines and plums in our back yard.
These changes call us outside to the garden and yard more oftern. They remind us to prepare for the new "warm" gardening season!
Winter has caused some loss of branches, shrubs and trees. On the trunk of one of our larget Raywood Ash trees, a ceramic "old man" that watches us trek back and forth to the herb garden has lost its mouth and one eye to winter's trials. It is time to find his missing parts and put him back together on his favorite trunk. Chore time!
